In June 2020 we donated £15000 to the University of Southampton Centre for Cancer Immunology.

In June 2020 George’s Trust Donated £15000 to the University of Southampton’s Centre for Cancer Immunology. This brings us a total of £35000 donated, having pledged £50000 to this fantastic cause!

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we were unable to take any photos of the donation taking place. However, we’ve included some videos below that we hope explain the impact of this donation. As always, we’d like to thank our supports for their generous support, without whom, we would not be able to donate to such important causes.

In the meantime, please take a look at the centre’s homepage here.

Research at the University of Southampton is looking at how immunotherapy can enable the body’s immune system to recognise and kill cancer cells

“Revolutionary research needs revolutionary facilities. In Spring 2018 the University opened the Centre for Cancer Immunology, the UK’s first centre dedicated to cancer immunology research. Connected to leading institutions worldwide, this cutting-edge research hub enables our interdisciplinary teams to expand clinical trials, explore new areas and develop lifesaving drugs.”
